!RulesUsed v1.01 (26 July 2004)

This is a modification to Dave Higton's !RulesUsed v0.04 to allow processing of logfiles produced by version 1.19 (and later) of !Antispam. It has been tested on an Iyonix, so works with RISC OS 5.

The program reads in logfiles produced by !AntiSpam, compares them to !AntiSpam's rules file, and reports on which rules have been used, and when. The information can help users of !AntiSpam to keep their rules file up to date.

I've tried to make this version easier to use (all you need to do is unpack the archive and double-click on !RulesUsed). Full instructions are included in a StrongHelp file inside the application.

v1.01 (26 Jul 2004)

Now recognises "Call" and "And" keywords in rules file (for AntiSpam v1.52 beta).
Now rejects "Variable" commands containing a "ReadVariable" keyword.
Rule tidying was removing too many spaces from some rules. Now fixed.

v1.00 (19 Jul 2004)

Substantial rewrite: now uses a "config" file rather than the fiddly script file of previous versions.
Now supports files produced by AntiSpam v1.50 ("Include" keywords, etc.)
Improved checking for duplicate rules.
Can now cope with up to 1500 rules in the logfiles.

v0.07 (03 Jul 2004)

Now recognises dates in logfiles produced by AntiSpam v1.50.
Ignores the "ReadVariable" and "Include" keywords in a rules file.
Minor change to output format so that unused rules are more prominent.
Fixed bug which caused program to fail if no rules file was supplied.

v0.06 (30 May 2004)

Now counts number of messages accepted/deleted/deferred on user tests.
Various tidy-ups to better handle multiple logfiles.

Self-extracting version of SparkPlug (RISC OS 3 only)

This was a little something I threw together back in February 1993 (yes, eleven years ago) to allow people who didn't have a copy of David Pilling's !SparkPlug application to download a single file that would unpack itself to produce a working copy of the !SparkPlug application. This particular version dates from 1998, and unpacks to produce version 2.26 of !SparkPlug.

Download the file, set its filetype to BASIC and double-click on it. A copy of !SparkPlug will be created in the currently-selected directory (or the root, if no directory set). Note: If your browser tries to display the file when you download it, choose "Save file in HTML format" to save the file.

This program will not work on an Iyonix, but since the Iyonix already has a read-only copy of !SparkFS you won't need !SparkPlug as well.
